Description: Babel by Tania Lebedeff is an abstract expressionist painting. The whole work seems to be constructed around a cylinder emanating from the very heart of the composition. Vertical lines pass by its very centre and form, around it, rectangles and other geometric forms all in a swirl motion. Curved lines in the bottom and straighter lines in the top activate the strong movement which vibrates from the surface of the painting. This work is executed using a patchwork of strong yellow, orange, green, turquoise and red hues.
