Description: Around a Silence by Tania Lebedeff is an abstract expressionist painting. The whole work seems to be constructed around a semi rhomb emanating from the heart of the composition. Vertical lines pass by its very centre and form, around it, rectangles and shapes like in a spiral motion. Curved lines in the bottom and straighter lines in the top activate the explosive impression which vibrates from the surface. This work is executed using a patchwork of strong yellow, orange, turquoise, red and green hues.
