Description: Evening Harmony by Gisèle L'Épicier is a neo-expressionist painting. It depicts a nocturnal urban scene with several personages walking under the rain. In the middle of the composition, a couple climbs the stairs under a red umbrella. On both sides of the work, stairs and meanders zigzag through the space and bring the viewer towards the central point from which emanates a translucent white light. The light reflections of the humid surfaces fill the whole scene with sparkles. The work is executed with fast loose firm brushstrokes, typical of the artist's style in a palette of blue, red, ochre, green and black hues.
