Description: Morning Light on Peel Street by Carlo Cosentino is executed in a neo-realism style typical of the artist's work. It depicts a winter scene on Peel Street in Downtown Montreal. In the background, one can see the St.Lawrence River. The light and shadow effects in this work produce a strong contrast. This piece was awarded a "Bronze Medal" from the Artists Magazine in the United States in March 2005. The palette is in subdued tones using brown and beige with touches of grey and red.
